Our Amazing Heroesare stories of heroism, courage and honour in times of great hardship during the war in Singapore. Shawn Seah takes historical facts, brings them to life in compelling stories, and makes difficult topics accessible, and even inspiring, to young readers. Our Amazing Heroesconveys values of courage in the face of danger; compassion, kindness, and sacrifice during war; and resilience to overcome trying times. These are values that endure. The stories will connect with students and motivate them to believe that they can shape the world by reflecting on those who made a difference during a dark time in Singapore’s history. War brings difficult challenges, but also reveals the best in humanity. I am delighted to support Shawn Seah’s dedication and commitment to historical storytelling.”
