Preparing a Clay Pot for Use
1. Rinse & Clean: Gently scrub the surface with a soft brush under running water.
2. Seal with Porridge: Simmer thick rice porridge or starchy water on low heat for 30 minutes to fill pores.
3. Air-Dry: Rinse with warm water and let it dry completely in a shaded area.
4. Daily Care: Always preheat gradually (start with low heat) and avoid sudden temperature changes.
*Tip: Store in a dry, ventilated place to prevent moisture damage. If unused long-term, re-season the pot before reuse.
